Workshop where kids will learn how to paint on silk. We will mount the fabric on a stretcher frame. I will show them how the technique is done with gutta gum reserves, a substance like latex made from the sap of gutta percha trees that acts as a barrier, thus delimiting the sections of colour. I will show you how to create your own colours that you can use to personalise your design, and you will apply the colour using washes, fades, gradients or spot colours on a silk scarf that you will take away with you at the end of the workshop.
