What will you learn?
In this workshop you will learn how to paint on silk with the gutta technique, one of the existing techniques, which consists of outlining on the surface of the silk a design in gutta, a substance like latex made from the sap of gutta-percha trees that acts as a barrier, thus delimiting the sections of colour. I will show you how to mount the fabric on a wooden frame to tighten the silk, you will learn how to make your own design and how to transfer it to the fabric and I will explain how to apply the colours on a silk scarf that you will take with you at the end of the workshop.
