It consists of extracting the colour and details of plants and flowers by hammering them onto the previously mordanted fabric. Mordant comes from the latin \u2018morder\u00e9\u2019 which means to bite, to seize, to grasp. Its use dates to antiquity.<\/p><p>It is advisable to use fabrics such as linen or cotton for this technique. This technique was also used by the Cherokee Indians, and they called it <em>leaf-pounding.<\/em><\/p><p>In this workshop you will learn how to create prints with flowers and plants using the Tataki Zome technique. I will show you how to recognise the flowers and plants you can use.
